Williams Commits to Dean

Andre Williams, the best running back prospect in NH from the class of 2011, has made his college commitment. The runnining back / defensive back from Nashua North has signed a letter of intent to play at Dean College.

Dean is a 2 year college in Franklin, Massachusetts.

"He is getting a scholarship to go there" said Nashua North head football coach Jason Robie. "When he graduates from Dean, he will still have 3 years to play 2, and has a good chance to be a 1A player."

The 6'1" 185 lb running back and defensive back lead Nashua North to 2 straight appearances in the Division 1 title game and has rushed for over 2,500 yards and 3,400 all purpose yards over the last 3 seasons. Williams has a very impressive combination of size, speed and power. When he gets a head of steam going up the field he is very difficult to bring down. He can also use his speed to outrun a defense. There's no denying the talent that this kid has.

Congrats to Andre, and best of luck to him at Dean and wherever he ends up going in 2 years.
