BG Wallops Merrimack 37-6

There was a lot of buildup for this game, since it's such a fierce rivalry. Every year BG is the biggest game on Merrimack's schedule, as many Merrimack residents attend BG. It was a circus atmosphere at Stellos Stadium in Nashua before the game, with students from both teams outside tailgating well over an hour before kickoff. And going in many thought that because of all the injuries the Cardinals had, and with Merrimack coming off a win and with their backfield tandem of Jackson King and Chaz Myers playing well that maybe the Tomahawks might win one, or at least make it interesting.

For awhile Merrimack did make it interesting. With 7:03 left in the 3rd quarter the Tomahawks were right in it, only trailing 9-6. But then Guertin picked it up defensively, sophomore CJ Boykin had a coming out party offensively, and BG scored 28 unanswered points to win it 37-6.

Here are video highlights that include a post-game interview with Boykin, Nate Chartrand and Jimmy Carver.
