Defense, Special Teams Lead BG to Win Over Dover

CJ Boykin (only a sophomore) had 2 long punt returns (1 for a touchdown), Nick Marino had 2 interceptions (1 for a touchdown) and the Bishop Guertin football team improved to 4-0 in Division II play with a 21-6 win at Dover on Friday night.

Defense dominated this game - if I were to list the top 5 defenses in the state there's no question both of these teams would be in there. Marino, Mark Hall and Jimmy Carver led the BG defense, while Eric Wilson, Eric Miller and Matt Brown led the Dover defense.

Guertin went up 21-0 in the 4th quarter on a 20 yard TD run by Nolan Cornell, and they cruised to the win from there. Dover is now 4-1 in D-II play and 4-2 overall.
