New Hampton Girls Over Tabor in a Thriller

In the girls basketball game of the year, New Hampton defeated Tabor on Saturday 71-69, as Madeline Blais hit a shot inside with about 5 seconds left for the game-winner. These are possibly the 2 best girls prep school basketball teams in New England, and they put on a great show for the packed gym at the New Hampton School.

The game had a great pace to it (thank you shot clock), and both teams played great pressure defense, moved the ball well and hit shots on offense and really got after it all game, diving on the floor for loose balls and battling hard for rebounds.

New Hampton was led by NH products Blais (committed to Marist) with 24 points, Melissa Frase (committed to UMass Lowell) with 15 points and Samantha Brenner (committed to Vermont) with 11.
