It was last way back in July when Jake Kiley (Plymouth, NH) committed to play his college football at Penn State University. Soon after that Kiley did an exclusive interview with the NH Notebook, which can be found right here.
In the months that followed there was the Jerry Sandusky scandal, and the firing and then passing of legendary head coach Joe Paterno who has been replaced as coach by current New England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien. Still, even after all of that, Kiley did not change his mind. And on Wednesday afternoon he signed a National Letter of Intent to play football for Penn State. The Nittany Lions play in the Big-10 Conference, which is one of the most competitive leagues in the country.
"Even with everything that has happened, it's still Penn State" said Ed Kiley, who is not only Jake's father but his head coach at New Hampton. "We went on an official visit there 3 weeks ago. The new coaching staff was great."
