Souhegan High lineman Jake Kennedy, the #1 rated football recruit from the state of New Hampshire for the Class of 2013 has verbally committed to the University of New Hampshire. New Hampshire is a Division I FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) program that competes in the CAA (Colonial Athletic Association). They have been a consistently winning program for the past decade under head coach Sean McDonnell, one of the top FCS coaches in the country.
Kennedy is a 6-foot-4, 280 lbs. lineman who starts on both offense and defense and also plays basketball at Souhegan. Kennedy is an all-state lineman, and helped the Sabers to the Division III state title in 2010. UNH was one of seven schools that offered Kenney a scholarship. He also had offers from Massachusetts, Colgate, Fordham, Holy Cross, Maine and Rhode Island.
