Last Look at Class of 2013 - Football

These kids are now all graduated high school and playing football in college, so it's now time to take down the rankings for the Class of 2013. But before we do, we want to take one last look at this class and recognize that players from it who are continuing their careers at the college level.

The biggest story with this class is the linemen. 5 of the top 7 and 6 of the top 11 players in the class are lineman, including 2 (Jake Kennedy and Rick Holt) who are now playing at FCS powerhouse University of New Hampshire. Kennedy (Souhegan) and Holt (POrtsmouth) both battled against each other for four years in high school, as their schools were Division III rivals, so it's ironic that they're now teammates. Like Holt, 3 of the other top rated prospects in the top 11 are seacoast products, as you also have former Exeter standout Brad Tiernan at the University of Maine, plus Christian Dyer (now at Stonehill College) and Jordan Cutting (now at Plymouth State) who were teammates on Winnacunnet's D-II state championship team in 2012.

You also have kicker Logan Laurent, who was a teammate of Tiernan's on Exeter's D-I state championship team in 2011. Finally, how about Bedford High, who had 4 of the top 14 players on this list? For a program that is a only a 5 years old, it's very impressive that they have 3 kids playing D-I this year (Will McInerny, James Caparell, Brian Collins), another playing D-II (Davis Cannone), plus 2 others where one is a sophomore at UNH (Jordan Garron) and another moved to Texas from Bedford and is now playing at Bentley University, along with Cannone (and Tyler Ford from Souhegan).
