NHIAA Student Athletes of the Month for October 2013

The NHIAA is pleased to recognize two outstanding athletes both on and off the field of play. They exemplify the ideals and values that are the cornerstone of school based athletics and are positive role models in their school and community. They are Clairee Putnam from Windham, and Campbell High's Ben Billings.

FEMALE STUDENT ATHLETE OF THE MONTH
Clairee Putnam
• Senior at Windham High School
• Two Sport Athlete: Soccer, Basketball
• Team Captain: Soccer, Basketball
• Jump Program: Assists with Special Needs program
• 4.05 GPA
• Student Athlete Leadership Team
• Soccer defense: Team has given up two goals all season 14-0
• St. Anselm’s College; recently committed for Basketball

“One of the most impressive things with Clairee isn’t her dominance on the field but the commitment to doing it the right way. She is one to help an opponent up off the floor and thank the officials. She does extra things you wish every student athlete would portray.”

MALE STUDENT ATHLETE OF THE MONTH
Ben Billings
• Senior at Campbell High School
• Three Sport Athlete: Soccer, Wrestling, Track
• Captain Soccer, Wrestling Team
• National Honor Society
• Vice President, Student Council
• 4.52 GPA
• Campbell Athletic Leaders Committee

“Ben has been a three sport athlete for all four years, was 2012 Division III Wrestling second place
126 pound class. Ben has never been carded or given an unsportsmanlike in any sport and has
assisted on several Campbell Athletic Leaders Council projects promoting sportsmanship. Ben is an
outstanding student athlete and leader at Campbell High School.”
