By: Ross Laorenza
The Pelham Pythons defeated the jaguars from Windham High School 68-52. The game was extremely close through the first two quarters with excellent shooting by Ryan Cloutier for Pelham and Andrew Lowman for Windham. It was a packed house inside Pelham High with fans standing at the entrances to get a view of this clash of Division-II rivals. With every momentum swing you could hear the back and forth taunting cheers.

Cloutier hit a big three pointer to give Pelham the lead just before halftime and Ryan Frank added a bucket. The Pythons lead 33-28. From this point on they really took control over the game. Sophomore Keith Brown had a monster second half and helped to put a close game quickly out of reach. He hit back-to-back three pointers to close the third quarter and second the crowd into a frenzy. The five point lead had swelled to 17 point, 60-43.

The Jaguars kept battling in the fourth but the play of Joe Slattery and Jake Vaiknoras proved too much down the stretch. Starting off the forth Vaiknoras grabbed two consecutive offensive rebounds before getting the putback and the foul. Slattery played keep away in the final two minutes with some excellent ball skills. Final score Pelham: 68, Windham: 52

Ryan Cloutier had a game high 22 points. Keith Brown finished with 16 after that big third quarter. Jake Vaiknoras also reached double figures with 12 points.
