Curran Commits to Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Less than a week after Wenyen Gabriel made national news by accepting a full ride to play basketball for Kentucky, yet another NH native accepts a D-I hoops scholarship. Recent Pembroke Academy graduate Max Curran has committed to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Curran helped lead Pembroke to a Division II state title as a junior. He really had a breakout season as a senior last year for Pembroke, emerging as one of the state's top players. Curran is a 6-foot-8 face up 4 man. For a kid his size he can really shoot the basketball, reminiscent of Scott King - former Pinkerton standout who is now a senior forward at Stony Brook University.

Curran is doing a post-grad year this season and then will enroll at Milwaukee in the fall of 2016. Milwaukee plays in the Horizon League. Their non-conference schedule this year includes games vs. Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

The story was broke by New England Recruiting Report. Read more about it here:
