Statewide Football Top 10 Teams - 11/10/15

It's playoff time. We're down to just 4 teams left standing in each division. Here are the current top 10 teams in NH.

1. Goffstown
2. Bedford
3. Pinkerton
4. Exeter
5. Salem
6. Timberlane
7. St. Thomas
8. Winnacunnet
9. Bishop Guertin
10. Windham

Now, here's why we ranked the teams in that order...

1. Goffstown - The only unbeaten team in D-I, Goffstown cruised past Nashua North in round 1.

2. Bedford - Bedford barely survived their round 1 game vs. Bishop Guertin. Now they take on Goffstown on Saturday in a battle between the top 2 teams in the state. We'll have the coverage on the NH Notebook.

3. Pinkerton - Pinkerton and Exeter have the same record. They meet in the semi-finals this weekend. Pinkerton barely beat Exeter in the regular season, so they get the nod for the #3 spot.

4. Exeter - should be another great game on Saturday vs. Pinkerton.

5. Salem - Salem and Timberlane both end season with same record. They both got bounced in round 1 of playoffs (barely). Salem gets the nod for the #5 spot, because they beat Timberlane head-to-head.

6. Timberlane - see Salem.

7. St. Thomas - the Saints got a good test by Monadnock in round 1, but ultimately pulled away. Are they a top 5 team in the entire state? We'll have to see how they do over the next couple weeks.

8. Winnacunnet - Can we get a Thanksgiving game set up between Winnacunnet and St. Thomas?

9. Bishop Guertin - a valiant effort in round 1 of playoffs for BG vs. Bedford. A powerful offense, and a strong season for the Cardinals in year 1 under Jeff Moore.

10. Windham - The Jaguars are back in the poll, as they rallied past Lebanon in round 1 of D-II playoffs. Windham has lost just 1 game over the past 2 seasons.
